Kedrick Whitehead Jr. is a 5’11”, 200 lb defensive back and special teams standout known for his physical play style, leadership, and relentless work ethic. A five-year impact player at the University of Delaware, Kedrick started 55 games and totaled 297 tackles (161 solo), 10.5 tackles for loss, 5 interceptions, 20 pass breakups, and 3 forced fumbles. He was a three-time team captain, four-time All-CAA selection -- anchoring one of the top defenses in the FCS with his versatility, football IQ, and ability to play both safety and nickel at a high level.

In 2023, he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent and quickly made an impression in training camp and preseason before a quad strain cut his opportunity short. He rebounded by joining the Michigan Panthers of the UFL, where he played two strong seasons. In 2025, after earning the starting job, he led the team in tackles with 73 total stops, ranking 7th in the entire league. That season, he was named both an All-UFL selection and the UFL Special Teams Player of the Year, contributing in multiple core special teams roles including gunner and kickoff coverage.

Whitehead Jr. is a disciplined, physical player who does his job at a high level. He’s dependable in coverage, strong against the run, and brings value on special teams in every phase. After earning a starting role and producing consistently, he’s shown he can adapt, lead, and perform. He’s prepared to contribute immediately on special teams and in the secondary.
