Kedrick Whitehead Jr. is a 5′11″, 200‑lb hybrid defensive back and special teams ace whose versatility, instincts, and elite work ethic make him a pro-ready asset. At the University of Delaware, he started 55 games over five seasons, recording 297 tackles (ranking 21st all-time and 6th among defensive backs in program history), 10.5 tackles for loss, 5 interceptions, 20 pass breakups, and 3 forced fumbles. A four-time All-CAA selection, three-time team captain, and All-American, Whitehead was the heart of one of the top defenses in the FCS, thriving at both safety and nickel thanks to his football IQ, physicality, and versatility.
After signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and impressing during training camp and preseason, a quad strain paused his NFL debut. He rebounded with the Michigan Panthers of the UFL, where he started every game in 2025, led the team in tackles, and finished 7th in the league in total stops. His standout performance earned him All-UFL honors as a Defensive Back, along with being named the 2025 UFL Special Teams Player of the Year, impacting 118 special teams snaps on all four special teams units. In coverage, he allowed just 0.53 yards per snap out of the slot (second-best among all UFL DBs, per PFF). A disciplined, assignment-sound player with a high floor and positional flexibility, Whitehead brings leadership, toughness, and plug-and-play value to both special teams and the secondary at the NFL level.
